I normally categorize my footwear on a scale of sensible to suicidal, but these booties are in a class by themselves. The ostrich feathers and ornate sculpted platform are something I imagine Titania queen of the fairies would wear if McQueen’s Sarah Burton staged a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Yet surreal as they may be, I could see myself wearing them on those days when I want to stand out from the crowd. Or if Lady Gaga ever invited me to go camping.
