When Dior’s brilliant fine jewelry designer Victoire de Castellane dispenses advice about how to wear jewelry it is anything but bourgeois. She connects jewels to emotions. "When I’m in a good humor, I wear a big ring," she has said. "If I’m in a bad mood, I wear only earrings." When de Castellane designed this one-of-a-kind rose necklace dripping with over 32 carats of diamonds, 11.5-carats of rubies and almost 377 emeralds, the largest weighing in at 7.81-carats, she must have been feeling absolutely fabulous.
