Even if you didn’t know this platform peep-toe was from one of Paris’s premiere designers, you could tell it was French just by looking at it, oui? I can’t quite put my finger on the reason. Perhaps it’s the grommets and lacing, which impart a vaguely nautical feel, emphasis vaguely. (What is it with the French and sailors? See: Jean Paul Gaultier.) Or maybe it’s just that they’re so flirty and cute, another French specialty.
