My mother claims my love of jewelry started in grade school when I made bead necklaces as birthday presents for my friends. Over the years my love for beaded baubles has only grown. They add a nice splash of color to any ensemble and are easy to put on and carry-off. This lovely 40-inch long lavender jade jewel—yes, jade comes in all kinds of different colors besides green—is a masterwork.
