One of the details that made Art Deco jewelry look so different than previous styles was the new geometric diamond shapes. The baguette-cut, named after the long French bread, appeared in glam 1920s wide bracelets and Temple of Love brooches. Francophile Anita Ko has employed the dazzling building block of Jazz Age jewelry in her amazing Arc de Triomphe Ring. I would love to wear this over-the-top ode to Paris when I walk down the Champs-Elysée this summer. C’est magnifique!
