I'm not one for magic, but my favorite trick is popping a barrette in my locks when I'm having a bad hair day. I usually opt for a sleek metal clip, but now that I've been charmed by Jennifer Behr's dazzling crystal and grosgrain designs, no ordinary pin would do. I'd secure my tresses to both sides, half up, or asymmetrically. Like any great magician, I'll use the art of distraction to draw the eye away from my hair and onto my jeweled barrette. Ta-da!
