My jewelry has taken a turn for the surreal. Cartier’s gold nail bracelet, Juste un Clou, and Solange Azagury-Partride’s Hot Lips ring have become my go-to pieces. I would like to add the Spellbound ring to the mix. You might not think of a heart as a surreal, but the grandmother of surreal fashion Elsa Schiaparelli did. Hearts can be found in her work as well as the obviously avant-garde lips and lobsters. I know the cleverly crafted style of Karen Karch's hammered valentine would shine with my artistic favorites.
