Growing up in Connecticut, I've seen my share of smoking slippers. So when the classic style came into fashion this season, I knew I'd have to break with tradition to make it my own. Far from the conservative loafer I was accustomed to seeing in the preppiest sets, Giuseppe Zanotti's blue velvet flats are embellished with beaded Swarovski crystal tassels. Clearly these are not my mother's (or father's) smoking slippers!
