It is time to rename the cocktail ring. Things have changed since the style launched in the 1930s when independent women flaunted their big rocks during happy hour. Today we are holding up our iPhones and Blackberrys far more frequently than a beverage. I say we call it the PDA ring. Okay, maybe the name needs work but you get the point. Give them something to look at while you check your e-mail and send text messages. My ring of choice would be this brilliant Temple St. Clair design. I would barely feel the need to apologize for a text intrusion if only I could give them this beauty to look at while I attend to business.
